Hello there. Glad you dropped by for a read of “PotA” brought to you by myself, the elaborately named Toast. Reflecting on my past few posts, I can’t help but notice that there are just so very many downsides to being anyone once zombies take over. I mean, it’s not like the upsides are plentiful, but it sure makes it hard to pick a group of trusted, strong survivors when you have no idea when it will happen (if it hasn’t already) or knowing that the apocalypse isn’t exactly like fantasy sports, in which I mean you can’t just rely on the world stopping so you can trade out your crap under performing survivors for up and coming or established stars.
You have to get this right the first time around and with very little time for thought. Treat it just like a fire drill, or a mass evacuation. If the sirens blare and the world is doomed right now, who will you try save? What will you take? What will you leave behind? This can be all too complicated to absorb in a hurry if you are not prepared. Never fear, Toast is here (lame…). This article, and the many others available to you on this site, will ensure you get it right with as little to worry about as possible. Speaking of which, its time to unveil this weeks stereotype.

[People of the Apocalypse] Just Do Your Job, Dagnabbit!
Hi there, and welcome to yet another installation of People of the Apocalypse with your favorite Human Resources Representative, Toast (let’s be honest, we are mostly jerks aren’t we?).
It seems that this site is really starting to generate some interest. More and more people are asking me about what the site contains. Even more of these people will engage in lengthy ‘hypothetical’ conversations about zombies, outbreaks and the like. It’s pleasing to see that the world can be informed whilst not entirely breaking down to outright paranoia, have a laugh at a whole races expense and still come away having learned something invaluable. I find it rare, nowadays, to be involved in a conversation where even one of the people contributing honestly doesn’t know what they would do if the tide of undead had risen. Hello all.
We have all (mostly? maybe?) experienced what it is like to work, play or cause carnage in a team. In most, if not all cases it can be observed that the very meaning of ’team’ differs depending on a nearly unlimited number of variables. Some people see a team as a means of getting tasks done faster. To some, it’s a unification of skill, precision and strength. Some see the use of a team as a great way to collect fodder or neutralise the growing chance of said individual becoming just that. (more…)
